Assassin hard?
I have all three GW and have made a R/E and a W/M and a D/M and i have been reading on assassins and it seems to me that most people either dont like them or complain how they are too hard to play. Are they really that difficult or does it catch on.

I'd say they're easier to play than most professions, mainly because the assassin skills invite you to put together deadly attack chains. They may be harder at lower level, but once you have a decent amount of skills then i'd say it was pretty easy. Like with most proffessions though there's always some level of practice that you have to put into them to get used to playin them.

There are 4 GWs.
The main argument against the Sin is that their most powerful PvP incarnations are TOO EASY to play. Also depending on what game type you're going to do mostly, you'll have to formulate your own opinion on that.
It can be as elaborate/as simple as you want, just as with any other class. Dagger chaining is not too difficult - it's about getting the moment of commitment right, because Sins are quite squishy. A lot of power but very screwed if you misread your opponents.

The people complaining on how hard they are to play are the ones who cant roll their face across the keyboard anymore.

The main complaint I see about assassins is that they're IMBA... but that's just a load of useless hot air IMO.
Yeah, it's they're fun to play. Another character slot dedicated to an assassin is a worthwhile make.

The only hard thing about playing a sin is getting invites into groups.

sins in pve are good from lvl 1-15, but then u start fighting mobs that are lvl 20+ with ur naturaly squishy character lol. at that point its fairly hard coz u can be so easily killed and so u have to try to be careful as ur a melee class and are in the middle of the fight. when i was doing quests at lvl 16 with my lvl20 henchies fighting lvl 20+ mobs, i found maybe 1 of my henchies would have died whereas i would be on -60% death penalty. thats the other thing, its easy to die and once u do, the death penalty makes it even harder for u to stay alive, if u get above -15% ur pretty much screwed. HOWEVER once u hit 20 in pve and get a decent build its pretty easy to survive and still do a lot of damage. im 20 and i rarely ever die in missions etc. so all in all id say sins are fairly easy to play, like all classes u just need to have max armour with the right runes and insinias, a decent build, good weapons and then u just pretty much get in a rythem with what skills u use. once ur at that point sins arnt really harder than any other class to play.
P.S. i have a 20 dervish and warrior as well.

The usual Assassin is just picking a target, then press 1, 2, 3, 4(, 5, 6, 7, maybe even an 8).
Wait 'till recharge, rince and repeat.
Of course there are loads of other factors jumping in between giving you a tougher time. But hard? Nah. As long as you know what you're doing (most notably, not getting yourself killed)

Most people complain because they get killed before the even have time to react sometimes. Also a lot of people just make them be like naruto or something.

Because people try and act like wars and tank the whole group with there -10 armor...And now that people cant BoA the 1-7 skills, people are like "Awww QQ i cant kill anything anymore"

It's not that they are hard to play, it's that their entire damage potential relies on choosing skills that can be applied in the correct sequence to maximize damage.
Basically, you want to start w/ a basic skill combo consisting of a good lead attack, off-hand attack, then a dual attack. Once you get a decent combo, you add to it, make sure you have some self healing/self support/utility skills, and you're good to go.
Here's a basic build I use a lot:
[skill]golden fox strike[/skill][skill]golden lotus strike[/skill][skill]wild strike[/skill][skill]death blossom[/skill][skill]moebius strike[/skill][skill]critical eye[/skill][skill]shadow refuge[/skill][skill]critical agility[/skill]

I actually daresay in PvE an Assassin is "harder to play" than other classes, if only because the bar for competence for other classes becomes much lower than in PvP, while Assassins do have to worry somewhat.
But at the very top level of play, it's comparatively much easier than any other class.

Assassin's not hard.
If you play a Mesmer like a Warrior its going to be hard for you (IW not counted)
Play a warrior like an ele it will be hard.
Classes are only hard IMO if your playing them wrong.
